MIssion

The Long Beach Young Democrats are dedicated to providing the necessary network, programs, and training to ensure our young people become engaged in civic participation, gain their own political consciousness, and become advocates, in their own rights, for Democratic platform issues on a local, regional, statewide, and national level.

We make endorsements in local elections, as well as host events and forums to motivate the young Democratic voice to become actively involved in our overall communities.

Our Story

The Long Beach Young Democrats is the official hub for young Democrats in and around the city of Long Beach, CA.

Our goals are to:

(1) Develop the skills and potential within our youth generation to become tomorrow's leaders;

(2) Educate and galvanize our young people, as well as their adult allies, about the political concerns and issues that impact their very lives;

(3) Elect candidates to run for public office who will advocate for issues related to the young people demographic and maximize the Democratic turnout of our young people in the electoral process.

Past Leaders & Presidents of LBYD

We thank them for their service to LBYD and their fight for democratic values and principles!
